Here is an excellent podcast on The Russell Moore Show. I highly recommend listening to all of it. Meacham is quite balanced and realistic and very knowledgeable on history.
It is a discussion with Jon Meacham and Meacham’s new anthology, American Struggle: Democracy, Dissent, and the Pursuit of a More Perfect Union,. In it, Meacham argues that the American experiment has never been about achieving perfection, but about the difficult and unfinished task of seeking a more perfect union.
