This applies to all balloons, water, regular, and animals.
From time to time I get called upon to make balloon animals (and I really like to do so). Sometimes I’m asked to teach people how to make balloon animals.
The challenge often is tying the balloon. Here are a couple ways to tie a balloon.
Tie with just your fingers
See the video at the right.
- Pull end between index and middle fingers (the balloon itself is on the palm side).
- Wrap toward yourself around index finger and thumb–go under the balloon.
- Pinch the end between index finger and thumb.
- Pull the loop, which is around index and thumb, over the end (which is being held). (This will make the knot. ;-))
Tie using the tool
There is a plastic tool that can be used to tie balloons. The video at the right shows how to use it.
The video shows two different techniques.
(If you have bigger fingers, you can put the tool over 2 fingers.)
At the end of the video they show the same method, as above (with no tool).
